How a Casker actually works

A Casker is an NFT seat. Burn $CASK to seal it. One stock fills it every hour from trading fees. Age is the multiplier. Tap is a decision.

The one-line rule

A Casker pays you more every hour the longer the bung stays in. Taking the stock out is still free. You just become young again.

Birth

1,777 Caskers, max supply fixed. Mint is 0.0025 ETH, paid to you. One wallet can mint 5, not more — selling or transferring does not free a slot. Minting draws one of ten tokenized stocks inside the mint transaction. No reveal day. The wax color is the ticker. You cannot change it, and there is no USDG cask — stables would kill the reason to wait.

Ten grails exist inside the 1,777. They look like any other broker until they have aged; the wood goes black and a name appears. Timing a mint does not help you find them.

Seal

A fresh cask is green. It holds nothing useful and earns nothing. Burn 18,000 $CASK to seal it at Young / 1.0× proof. Transfer or sale puts it back to green. The new owner burns 18,000 to wake it. Proof never resets. Age always does.

The hourly fill

Every $CASK trade (WETH side) sends 80% into the engine to buy stock for sealed Caskers.

That 80% is forwarded every 15 minutes. Each hour the pot is split by live weight:

weight = proof × age(days sealed)

Only sealed casks that were sealed before the round starts earn that round. Green ones, and ones sealed mid-hour, sit out. Buying is separate from crediting: once a spirit's pot clears 0.00001 ETH the keeper buys that stock and the shares land in the cask. The contract, not the bot, enforces a 30-minute TWAP and a 3% floor.

Age

Age is a curve, not a ladder you buy. It starts at 1.00× the second you seal. It approaches 2.4× with a half-life of 30 days.

Days sealedAgeYoung cask, live weight
01.000×1.000×
71.291×1.291×
141.522×1.522×
301.885×1.885×
602.211×2.211×
902.330×2.330×
1802.397×2.397×

A 90-day Young cask out-earns a freshly sealed Cask-strength for a while. That is the whole joke. Money can buy proof. It cannot buy the days.

Tap

Only the wallet holding the cask can move what is inside, and only to that same wallet. There is no fee, no owner, no pause, no upgrade on the vault. Tapping sets sealedDays to 0. The next hour it earns as a newborn. Partial taps are not a thing — you take the spirit or you leave it.

Sell the cask and the spirit goes with it. Claim first if you want to keep the stock and sell only the wood.

Burns are cumulative. Upgrade pays the difference. Proof stays on the token forever.

Blend

Two casks of the same spirit: proofs add, plus 18%. Three: plus 28%. Cost 40,000 $CASK, plus 80,000 more for a third. Mixed tickers revert — the contract will not let you mix names this way.

The survivor keeps the first cask's number and the parents' stock. Age starts at 1×. Absorbed casks are burned. Supply only falls.

Stock token CAs

These are the canonical Robinhood Stock Tokens the engine buys. Address is identity — never trust a ticker alone.

Buy Cask on Pons. Mint is 0.0025 ETH, max 5 per wallet.
